Refrigora ships refrigerant cylinders, drums and full pallets to HVAC/R contractors, wholesalers and service fleets across the United States. Because refrigerants are regulated hazardous materials, shipping works a little differently from ordinary parcels.

Free shipping across the continental US

Shipping is free to all 48 contiguous states on every order, single cylinders and full pallets alike. There is no minimum order value and no fuel or hazmat surcharge added at checkout.

Processing and dispatch

  • In-stock orders placed before 2:00pm CT on a business day are dispatched the same day.
  • Orders placed after the cut-off, at weekends or on public holidays are dispatched the next business day.
  • You will receive tracking details by email as soon as the shipment is manifested.

Transit times

Transit is by ground freight. Typical times from dispatch:

Single cylinders and small parcels 2–5 business days
Quarter, half and full pallets (LTL freight) 3–7 business days

Transit times are estimates provided by the carrier and are not guaranteed. Hazmat shipments are not eligible for air or overnight service.

Hazardous materials handling

  • All cylinders ship as DOT-regulated hazardous materials, correctly placarded and documented.
  • A signature is required on delivery. Carriers will not leave refrigerant unattended.
  • We may ask for your EPA Section 608 certification, or evidence that you are buying for resale or for use by certified technicians, before an order ships.
  • Refrigerant cannot be delivered to PO boxes, APO/FPO addresses or freight-forwarder lockers.

Pallet and freight deliveries

Pallet orders move by LTL freight and the carrier will call to arrange a delivery appointment. Please tell us at checkout, or by email, if your site needs:

  • a liftgate, if you have no loading dock or forklift;
  • a residential or limited-access delivery;
  • a specific delivery window or notice period.

Tell us before dispatch and these are arranged at no extra cost. Accessorial charges raised by the carrier after dispatch because a requirement was not declared may be passed on.

Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico and international

These destinations are outside the free-shipping area and are quoted individually, since hazmat carriage rules and available carriers differ. Request a quote with your delivery address and quantities and we will come back to you with a price and lead time.

Damaged or missing shipments

Inspect the shipment before signing and note any damage or shortage on the carrier’s delivery receipt — this is what supports a freight claim. Report the problem to sales@refrigora.com within 5 business days with photographs of the packaging, the pallet and the affected cylinders, and keep all packaging until the claim is settled.
